LIE Review & Rating

After scoring his career’s biggest hit, Nithiin teams up with Hanu Raghavapudi for ‘LIE’ which has Megha Akash making her debut as the female lead. The songs and trailer have caught up well with the movie lovers and expectations are high on this film. The film has hit the screens today, let’s see what the critics have to say about it!

The story is nicely set up between intelligent protagonist and powerful antagonist. Though the cliched romantic track comes as a hindrance, the film has its moments.

Rating 3 from  indiaglitz

Nithiin is more reckless than intense, by and large.  That was the idea, but when he is emot...

The performances of Nithiin and Arjun are top class and they have put in their efforts to play their roles perfectly. Sri Ram who is seen in a Telugu movie after a long gap suits the role well and performs honestly. Megha Akash makes a decent debut, but she has nothing much to do.

Manisharma's music and background score takes the movie to next level. 'Bombhaat' song is nicely picturised and all the other songs doesn't make a great impact, but his background score is top-notch and he has proved his worth once again. Cinematography by Yuvraaj and production values of 14 Reels entertainment must be appreciated as every frame looks rich and colorful. Hanu does a decent job with the film but he should have taken a little extra care about the romantic track.

Verdict: 'LIE' makes a decent watch if you ignore the cliched romantic drama and it is a must watch for people who like to see spy kind of thrillers.

LIE Live Updates & Public Talk

Nithiin's 'LIE' is getting positive reports from overseas, especially first half of the film is being loved more!

Public Review From Vimal Theater:

LIE Preview

After a successful comeback with the movie 'Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha', Hanu Raghavapudi is coming with his next 'LIE' which stars Nithin in the lead. This movie is also marking the debut of actress Megha Akash. And the interesting factor about this movie is that action king Arjun Sarja is making a comeback into Telugu cinema after a brief gap and he will be seen as the antagonist.

Right from the movie's first look, 'LIE' has been generating a decent buzz. With an interesting caption that decodes the word 'LIE' - Love Intelligence Enimity, director Hanu Raghavapudi and Nithin did generate some curiousity around the movie's content.

What to expect from the movie?

Hanu Raghavapudi's Stylish Narration: With his previous movies, 'Andala Rakshasi' and 'Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha', Hanu garnered a decent name in the industry for his interesting narration on love stories. This seems the first time he is inculcating much action into his narration. Shot in the US extensively for over 70 days, the trailer has already set the bar high for this movie. We hope it strikes a chord with the audience

Interesting Characters: We can expect a nuanced performance from Nithin this time as he looks ultra stylish in the movie. From the trailer, he has given a hint that his character speaks nothing but lies all through the movie. Megha Akash who looks really bubbly and has struck a chord already with the youth is expected to woo the audience with her cuteness. With Arjun Sarja competiting opposite Nithin as the furious villain, the movie seems to have to got the needed spice. This is the second time Arjun and Nithin will seen together on screen after Krishna Vamsi's 'Sri Anjaneyam'. With his scary looks and ruthless body language, we can expect some interesting drama to unfold on the screen.

Manisharma's Music and BGM: As Nithin mentioned in the pre-release event - 'a legend is always a legend.' Manisharma already proved himself with the songs like 'Bombhat' and 'Laggam Time' from the album. And known for his outstanding BGM score which we have already seen in the teaser and trailer, the movie is going to be a treat to not just the eyes but the ears as well.

Excellent production values: The movie already looks grand. 14 Reels Entertainments are known for their high production values in giving some really quality cinema. 'LIE' comes as the costliest movie in Nithin's career.
