Helmed by Prabhu Solomon, Kumki 2 is the sequel of the 2012 movie Kumki that featured Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles. Kumki 2 which is tipped to be an adventure romantic drama centres around an Elephant. Kumki 2 has Mathiyazhagan, a new face making his debut as the lead hero. Along with Mathiyazhagan, RJ Balaji, Suzanne, Thiruselvam are on board to play important character roles. Hareesh Peradi will play the antagonist in Kumki 2.
On the technical front, Kumki 2 has Mynaa, Bhairava fame cinematographer Sukumar to crank the camera and Irumugan, Imaikkaa Nodigal fame Bhuvan Srinivasan for the edits. The songs of Kumki 2 will be scored by Vivek K Prasanna.
