Kesari

Kesari is an upcoming epic-war movie starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. The film is inspired by the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 soldiers of the Sikh Regiment fought against 10,000 Afghani invaders in 1897. It was military combat between them which created history. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh while Parineeti Chopra plays the role of Priyanka Kaur. Comedy actor Rajpal Yadav will be seen in a supporting role of Prem Singh. Battle of Saragarhi is touted to be as the bravest battle ever fought in the history of India.

The film is set in the pre-independence era. Helmed by Anurag Singh, this flick has been co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. Ever since the first poster and trailer went out, viewers are lauding the film. Kesari is slated to release on 21st March 2019, on the occasion of Holi festival.
