The story revolves around a large family, headed by Sathyaraj. Though a father of five girls, he is a little upset about not having a son with his wife. He gets married to another lady, Bhanupriya. Karthi is born to fulfill Satyaraj's wish of being a father to a boy even in his 50s.
Karthi is not very educated and goes on to become a farmer as he grows up. Two girls from his own family and their respective parents wish to get them married to Karthi. However, Karthi falls in love with another girl, Sayyeshaa against everyone’s expectations in the family. This leads to several disputes and misunderstanding among the family members.

Karthi steals the show as a proud farmer who is optimistic about agriculture in the country. As a down-to-earth family man, who preaches about the greatness of farming.
