Kadaikutty Singam Story

Cast: Karthi as Perunazhi Gunasingam, Sathyaraj as Perunazhi Ranasingam, Saravanan as Thamarai Manala Sendayar, Bhanupriya as Panchamadevi, Yuvarani as Samyuktha Rani, Mounika as Mangamma Rani, Viji Chandrasekhar as Vanamadevi, Priya Bhavani Shankar as Poompozhil Chellamma, and Sayyesha Saigal as  Kannukiniyal aka Iniya.

The story revolves around a big family, headed by Ranasingam. Though a father of five girls, he is a little upset about not having a son with his wife. He gets married to another lady, and hopes of fulfilling his wish if being a father to a baby boy even in his 50s. One day, his wish does come true. 

His son Gunasingam, though is not very educated, goes on to become a farmer as he grows up. Two girls from his own family and their respective parents wish to get them married to Gunasingam. However, he falls in love with another girl Iniya against everyone's expectations of the family. This leads to several disputes and misunderstanding among the family members, and eventually many of them start disliking Gunasingam. 

On the other hand, a few in the town who always aimed at Gunasingam's downfall utilizes the situation. Will Gunasingam get married to his lady love and solve the problems with extended family members form the rest of the story. 

Kadaikutty Singam received mostly positive reviews. Karthi's performance and Sayyesha's beauty and acting received good marks. The movie was declared as a blockbuster at the box office.
