Dev Adhikari's performance in the movie is versatile and is the main highlight of the film. Rukmini Maitra did justice to her role and performed way more than well than expected. Shataf Figar hits up the screen with his charismatic presence. Priyanka Sarkar might have a smaller screen time, but she left the maximum impact throughout the movie. All the characters have played their roles in a realistic manner and their timing of dialogue delivery and intensity of acting is to the point.

The story is brilliantly penned down by Aniket Chattopadhyay and Kabir is a well-presented movie and a great outcome of brilliant dialogues and his genius direction. The movie has only one song, that too is very aptly inserted as the background score for the movie.

Kabir Preview

What is the film all about?

Kabir, directed by Aniket Chattopadhyay and produced by Dev's home production, is a realistic film dealing with the roots, cause, and effect of terrorism. The film will also deal with the life and the arrest of Yasin Bhatkal, the founder of Indian Mujahideen. The incident of Mumbai blast set the crux of the story featuring Dev, Rukmini Maitra, Priyanka Sarkar, and Shataf Figar in it.

What to expect from the film?

A gripping plot with intricate twists

The makers have kept the film's plot under the wrap. They raised the interest by keeping the plot in secret. However, the trailer promised a great, thrilling plot which will unfold in an impressive way. The film promises a great premise combining real incidents and fictional elements.

The realistic elements

Stories based on real incidents and events have always grabbed attention. This is the first time any Bengali film will deal with the incident of Mumbai blast and explore the severe issue of terrorism. The raw and ruthless presentation can be a game changer.

Unique execution

This is the first time that the majority of a film was shot in a running train. The entire team shot the movie on the train in the natural light and captured the real-time sounds as well. This can transform into a visual to remember.

The cast

The film comprises a great cast. Dev will be seen in a negative role for the first time. His character is still a mystery to the audience. Rukmini Maitra, who plays Yasmin, look different than her usual self and has grabbed attention in the trailer. Priyanka Sarkar, who plays an STF officer and Shataf Figar, who plays a terrorist make the acting section stronger.
