Kaala Karikaalan (The King of Dharavi) is a Tamil movie that has been dubbed in Hindi. This political action thriller movie features Tamil superstar Rajinikanth playing the titular role of Karikaalan Kaala, apart from him Nana Patekar and Huma Qureshi are also acting in this Pa. Ranjith's directorial venture. It has been produced by Dhanush and bankrolled by Wunderbar Films.

Rajnikanth and Pa. Ranjith had previously collaborated for the film Kabali in the year 2016, which was a box office success. Santhosh Narayan has been roped in to compose the music for the film and the shooting was done after grnad sets were erected in Mumbai and Chennai.
