Anuradha Verma is a single mother and a prominent lawyer who has never lost a case. One unfortunate day, Anuradha's daughter Sanaya is kidnapped and the kidnappers contact Anuradha to defend a convicted felon Niyaaz Shaikh who is convicted for the rape and murder of Sia. The kidnappers keep tracking Anuradha very closely so she is unable to involve law in this case. Since all the evidence suggests that Niyaaz is the murderer, Anuradha has to work hard to win the case by hook or crook. Anuradha seeks help from her police friend Yohan who has been suspended from the police force by other corrupt officers. This case was closely monitored by powerful politician Mahesh Malkai who asks public prosecutor Ronit to take up the case against Niyaaz. As the time is running out, Anuradha lies to Sia's mother Garima Chowdhury.
Anuradha discovers that Niyaaz was the drug dealer of Sai and his boyfriend Sam who is the son of Mahesh Malkai. After delivering drugs to Sia's home, Niyaaz had raped and killed Sia while Sam was passed out due to intoxication. When Sam gained consciousness, he contacted his father to get rid of Sia's body. With the case being so complicated and time running out of Anuradha's hand to save her child will she be able to save her child and the case?
Jazbaa was a critically and commercially successful. The movie was made on a budget of around 30 crores and earned an estimated 42 crores at the box office. The performance of Aishwarya was especially appreciated.
