Jai Lava Kusa Review & Rating|
Right from the time when we heard that NTR Jr. was doing a triple role, everyone raised their eyebrows and so did their expectations and excitement. The main reason being that everyone was confident this time NTR Jr. was going to bombard the silverscreens with his acting abilities. Cut to - the movie 'Jai Lava Kusa' has now released and we can't stop appreciating Tarak for the commendable piece of art that he has executed. The movie might have its flaws of inconsistent screenplay and other stuff that will anyways be pointed out, but what stands out in this film that definitely needs a big round of applause or maybe even a few whistles is NTR Jr. kick-ass performance. It is his show all the way.
Jai, Lava and Kusa are triplets who get separated in their childhood due to some clashes. After 20 years, one turns out to be a dreaded gangster, one a bank employee and the other a petty thief. Things take a turn and land the two, Lava and Kusa to meet and immediately get kidnapped by Jai. Why Jai kidnaps them, what's his agenda and what he wants from this is something worth watching on the screens. Both the leading ladies, Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas have justified their presence while it is Ronit Roy who shines in his villainous act. Sai Kumar who donned the role of their maternal uncle has also made a mark.
'Jai Lava Kusa' has once again landed another hit for Tarak and without any doubts, it stands as his career best performance till date. Especially the way emotions have been weaved between the brother in the climax will show you what a stupendous performer Tarak is. The gruesomeness he executes through Jai with stammering, the innocence he displays through Lava or the naughty Kusa, Tarak has aced his performance. Though after a point, the movie gets more or less predictable, it is the high drama that unfolds between the three brothers is worth spending two and half hours in the hall. The credit for writing such a role for an actor like NTR Jr. should go to Bobby, but he too left a few loopholes here and there.
Verdict: The movie is complete treat for fans and a decent watch for others. Watch NTR Jr. for his act as Jai and you will only appreciate him for the actor he is. It is best to lower your expectaions and you will definitely have a worthy weekend. Go for it!

Jai Lava Kusa User Reviews
After a hiatus of 1 year NTR's Jai Lava Kusa has expectations and with the trailer getting very good reviews, expectations went even more high. Story line and plot of the movie are good. Actual fun starts when you see Raavan (Jai) on the screen after the interval. NTR has done a splendid job playing Raavan. Lav & Kusa are good. NTR's modulation in these 3 roles is commendable. Raashi, Nivetha does not have much role and are not glamorous. The whole movie has only NTR in every frame, but its does not bore as the modulation and Raavan's characterisation will keep you on the edge of your seat. Drawbacks are the Music(expect for the Raavana song, rest all songs are just headache) and glamour quotient. Tamannah's item song is the awful part of the movie. Overall its definitely worth watching just for NTR.
Jai Lava Kusa Review:
There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ as NTR was playing a triple role for the first time in his career, and as he gave a chance to Bobby at the peak stage of his career. The ‘Jai’ teaser and trailer added it to the buzz and expectations were high on this film. ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ is the story of three brothers ‘Jai’, ‘Lava’ and ‘Kusa’, all three played by NTR Jr. All these 3 roles are introduced as kids who are part of a drama company. An incident takes place which separates all of them and they grow up under different circumstances. What happens next must be watched on the big screen.
1. NTR - The major plus point of the film is undoubtedly Tarak. Right from the first frame, he impresses us with his impeccable performance in three unique roles. It is not an easy task to pull off 3 different roles but Tarak has managed to do that effortlessly. His expressions, body language and even the voice modulations for all the three roles are quite different from each other which shows his talent. In emotional scenes, he has excelled once again and his performance as JAI will be remembered for a long time. 2. Other Cast – Raashi Khanna and Nivetha are okay and it feels really sad to see a talented Nivetha Thomas not having much to do. Posani once again steals the show and Sai Kumar adds a lot of value to the film. Other actors like Praveen, Brahmaji were usual.
1. DSP’s Background Score – Though Devi Sri Prasad did not give a blockbuster album he managed to give superb background score for the film and especially for Jai’s scenes. He has elevated many scenes with his BGM.
2. Production Values – The film looks quite rich and the production values of NTR Arts banner must be appreciated.
3. Screenplay, Direction – Compared to his previous films, Bobby has done a great job for Jai Lava Kusa but he has failed to execute few scenes properly. Few fight scenes look awkward with improper editing and screenplay looks inconsistent.
Analysis: NTR gave his best in this film and there are few strong scenes which will impress the family audience big time. The pre-interval scene and pre-climax scenes are the heart and soul of the film where NTR has excelled as an actor ONCE AGAIN. Jai Lava Kusa is a film which has some very good emotional and action scenes but it is still not a perfect BLOCKBUSTER movie. Maybe the hurry to release the film before Dussehra is the reason the movie looks awkward at times. But NTR’s once-in-a-lifetime performance, DSP’s terrific background score are a treat to watch on the big screen. Commercially the film might become the biggest hit in NTR's career.
Verdict: Watch it for NTR’s flawless performances as ‘Jai Lava Kusa.’
