I is a romantic thriller directed by Shankar featuring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead. The plot revolves around Lingesan (Vikram) who is a bodybuilder living in Chennai, and aims to become Mr. India after winning the title of Mr. Tamil Nadu. Lingesan secretly loves Diya (Amy Jackson), a leading model who gets fired from her modeling assignments for refusing to return her co-models sexual favors. Diya approaches Lingesan to take up modeling with her to teach her co-model a lesson. During this Diya and Lingesan come very close to each other and decide to marry. A few days before the wedding Lingesan realizes that he is suffering from a deformity disorder which is incurable. Lingesan requests the doctor treating on him to marry Diya as he no more is good looking enough to marry Diya. Will Diya marry Lingesan’s doctor, will Lingesan ever be cured of this ailment…forms the remaining part of the story.
