Ishwar

Ishwar is a supernatural thriller drama written and directed by Debapratim Dasgupta aka Taju which stars Saswata Chatterjee, Priyanka Sarkar, Paran Bandopadhyay, Anindya Chatterjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Biswajit Chakraborty, Kaushik Kar, Manasi Sinha and Sonalee Chaudhury in pivotal roles. The film’s story revolves around Ishwar (Saswata Chatterjee) who guards a cemetery and believes that humans sleep in their graves after getting tired of the rat race which they ran all their lives. He maintains a strict silence at the burial ground and even sings lullabies at some of the child's graves. In the process of his job and duty, his relationship with his wife goes kaput as he realizes that life is a celebration of death. The film’s music is composed by Prasen and Rudranil Chowdhury while Manas Ganguly handles the DoP.
