The writers have done an excellent job by giving the characters, ample space to develop and explore the essence of the story. This can be seen in the performance of the actors especially Trisha, Nivin Pauly and Siddique. Dominique performed by Siddique with his timing in giving counter dialogues created great humour that made the story more engaging for the audience.

The rapport between Nivin and Shyama Prasad has finally worked out successfully in Hey Jude in their third collaboration after English in 2013 and Ivide 2015. Nivin Pauly is as the Jude who struggles to deal with his psychological condition and he has carefully done it with fewer gimmicks. Trisha has done a remarkable job in portraying Crystal as equal to Jude.

Hey Jude, a musical romance film written by Nirmal Sahadev and George Kanatt is a fresh attempt by director Shyama Parasad. The movie is showcasing how love and self-discovery can transform one's view of life. The movie has given its lead characters Nivin Pauly and Trisha, an opportunity to explore different avenues and they were sincere to the core but Siddique's Dominique turned out to be the gem of the movie. Trisha's character Crystal is commendable and she never looked like she is making her debut in a language not known to her. Dominique keeps the movie engaging. The frames created by the cinematographer were magical especially the visuals captured in Goa. The movie definitely gives a feel-good experience but the slow pace of the movie keeps it low and lagging. Hey Jude can be placed under a one time watchable movie.

The movie marks the debut of leading South Indian actress Trisha who has a large fanbase among Malayalis.
