Hate Story 4, is the fourth instalment of the Hate Story series. Like all the ventures, this movie is also a revenge story based on the erotic-thriller genre. The movie starts with Tasha telling Aryan about someone sending their intimate pictures on her phone. When Tasha is about to leave, Aryan's girlfriend Rishma confronts him and tries to kill for his betrayal. In a Scuffle between them, Rishma gets shot accidentally and dies. The story then goes in a flashback where it is revealed that Aryan and Rajveer are the sons of businessman Vikram Khurana. Karan is given responsibility to search for a fresh face for their company. For this purpose, Karan visits a bar and watches Tasha performing there. Smitten by her he offers her the chance to become a star.

On the other hand, Aryan is also smitten by Tasha and wants her deliberately. Both the brother tries to pursue her just to get her into their bedrooms and they eventually succeed. Knowing about this, both the brothers turn against each other. Thus the starting scene is connected, where Rishma finds out the intimate relationship between Aryan and Tasha. It is later revealed that Tasha is the mastermind behind all the events and she had it all planned to get revenge on the two brothers by demeaning them. Why Tasha is seeking revenge against the Khurana brothers forms the rest of the plot. 

Hate Story received mostly negative to poor reviews. The critics said the film has nothing to offer, vague storyline and overacting by the cast. However, few songs did catch the attention of the moviegoers. Hate Story 4 was made on a budget of 8 crores and its estimated box office collection was between 22.98-28.32 crores.
