Fanney Khan Story

Prashant Sharma a.k.a Fanney Khan is a part-time vocalist in an orchestra who dreams of becoming a singer. But because of his circumstances, he is failed to fulfil his dreams. When he is blessed with a baby girl, he names her Lata after the name of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Lata grows up to have an excellent voice but she mocked by everyone because of being overweight. Lata is a big fan of a famous singer Baby Singh. Baby Singh, on the other hand, has grown tired of her life and wants a break. When Prashant's factory is closed he starts working as a taxi driver.
Coincidentally, one day, Baby Singh travels in his taxi. When Baby asks for water, Prashant mixes sleeping pills in the bottle. He then calls his best friend Adhir to help him in kidnapping Baby Singh so that he can get his daughter's album released. Initially, reluctant, Adhir agrees to help him after much convincing. Adhir and Baby get close and Baby starts enjoying herself out of the limelight. Prashant asks Baby's director to release an album of Lata. In this chaos, will Fanney Khan be able to fulfil his and his daughter's dreams? What happens to this new friendship of Baby and Adhir? Watch the movie to know more.
With such a huge and interesting star cast, the audience had huge expectation from Fanney Khan. However, the movie didn't do wonders and was declared an average hit. This star-studded musical was made on a budget of 38 crores and grossed 16.56 crores at the box office.
