Drishtikone Review & Rating
Drishtikone directed by Kaushik Ganguly is a quintessential love story which explores relationships with a different perspective. Sreemoti loses her husband in mysterious circumstances which led her to find an advocate. She seeks help from Jion, a lawyer with an impaired eyesight. As the hearings start in the court, their relationship starts to cross the boundary of the professional relationship and their intimacy can get defined as extramarital affair from a certain perspective. Jion's wife, who is also an advocate easily finds out the truth and trouble starts from there.
Kaushik Ganguly is known for telling the story of human relationships. His expertise of seeing the stories from the different point of view and presenting a unique output can be seen in this movie as well. Drishtikone could easily be a thriller of two and half hour but the filmmaker didn't take the easy root. Instead, he explored a relationship that could easily be judged by the society.
The acting department is extremely fulfilling. Prosenjit Chatterjee has probably delivered his best performance in the film. Rituparna too has done her job to the T and managed to look good in every frame. Churni Ganguly, as Prosenjit's wife, did a tremendous job and earned the empathy of the audience. Kaushik Ganguly himself as a sidekick has impressed everyone. Debutant Soham looks promising as well.
Drishtikone is a film that will stay with you even after you leave the theatre. Anupam's songs are definitely one of the biggest reasons to watch the movie at least once.

A must watch movie for everyone & I am specially very much inspired by the character of Advocate Jion Mitra, coz I too lost my left eye vision in 2014 due to retinal detachment but never lost my courage to fight back all hurdles of life. As Mrs. Rumki Mitra (Jion's wife), my husband too stood by my side as a strong pillar. I really loved the character of Rumki MItra, her patience & skill of maintaining balance between family & profession is worth mentioning. Kaushik Da is brilliant in his role & so as everyone else.

The stellar casting of the movie is a thing of movie-buff's rejoice. The film is to bring Prosenjit-Rituparna's popular pair back on the screen. While audience can expect to see their chemistry on the screen, they will also expect some outstanding performances by Kaushik Sen, Churni Ganguly, and Kaushik Ganguly himself.
The music of the film is already topping the charts. Directed by Anupam Roy, the songs have touched the hearts. Now people will wait to see its execution and application in the movie. Interestingly, the makers haven't released all the tracks yet. So, you might be surprised in the theatre as well.
