What is it all about?
Based on real incidents, Kamaleswar Mukherjee's airborne drama 'Cockpit' revolves around a pilot's struggle to land the flight safely when he detects a major glitch in it. Captain Dibyendu Palit takes off from Mumbai airport. While heading towards Kolkata, it faces bad weather which causes damage to the flight. It's a gripping tale of a doomed flight. Will the captain be able to land safely? The question will be answered in the theatre.
What to expect from it?
- An out of the box story
Airborne drama is new to the Indian audience. This is the first time, a Bengali film has been made on a pilot and the cabin crews who are responsible for the safety of multiple lives. This is the first of its kind for which it has grabbed audience's attention. We are expecting a thrilling journey and a solid, out-of-the-box story from the movie.
- Dev in a different avatar
Coming out from his usual mainstream film avatar, Dev has donned the uniform of a pilot for the first time. In the film, he is flying a plane and trying to land safely. The fans will be eager to see the actor Dev in this new avatar. His performance can make or break the movie.
- Pairing with Koel and Rukmini
Koel and Rukmini, two leading ladies of the film seem to have a prominent role in this film. Koel plays his wife and Rukmini plays an air hostess in the flight. Interestingly, Dev's pairing with both the actresses is quite interesting. While Dev and Koel Mallick's jodi is a fan's favorite for a long time, his chemistry with Rukmini in 'Chaamp' received positive feedback.
Kamaleswar Mukherjee's direction
This is Dev's 2nd film under Kamaleswar's direction. Before that, they did 'Chander Pahar' which was a huge hit. The noted filmmaker, who has a knack of dealing with out-of-the-box ideas should add the ex-factor to the unusual movie.
