Brochevarevarura tells the story of a gang of three youngsters who plays a kidnap drama to help their friend Mitra and that of an aspiring film director who narrates a story to a popular heroine. How these two stories are interconnected form the basis of the story. Our three friends are Rahul, Rakesh (Rocky), and Rambabu (Rambo). They form the R-Gang in their college.
Mitra is also a plus 2 student who doesn't like studies. Instead, she is a highly talented classical dancer. But her father, who is the principal of her college doesn't allow her to leave studies. She cooks a plan with our R-Gang. As per the plan, the trio kidnaps her and demands ransom from her father.
Parallelly, Vishal narrates a story to one of the happening heroines of the time, Shalini. Meanwhile, our gang's kidnap drama comes to fruitition and they get the ransom which according to their plan they give to Mitra so that she can escape and live with the money. But unfortunately for them, Mitra is kidnapped for real this time. Around the same time, director Vishal faces a personal tragedy to which the actress promises to help. The rest of the story is about how the friends save Mitra and what happens to Vishal's aspirations form the rest of the story.
Brochevarevarura received mostly positive reviews which hailed the film as a new-age thriller-comedy. The movie which was made on a shoestring budget went on to become an extremely profitable venture for all parties concerned. The performances of all the lead actors and the screenplay of the film are praised by one and all.
