Bobby (Malayalam) Review & Rating
Shebi Chowgath directorial ‘Bobby’ revolves around a theological student who falls in love with bank-employee Maria, who is 7 years elder than him. Niranj plays titular role and he does an impressive job. He performs on par with other senior stars of the movie. Despite having strong performances, the film lacks an interesting narrative. It doesn’t offer anything new except occasion laughs.
‘Bobby’ is a well-written movie presented in a humorous manner. There are many moments that make the audience laugh their heart out. The debutant director Shebi tells the story of a seminary student in the most convincing way. Situational comedy is the highlight of the film.
Miya is a delight to watch on screen. She has done her part quite convincingly and well. Niranj has his good looks but when it comes to acting, especially handling the emotional scenes, he lacks originality and is merely convincing.
Final Verdict: 'Bobby' is a one-time watch for who are not particular serious-drama and intense love stories.

What’s it about:
The movie ‘Bobby’ is a Malayalam romantic comedy that narrates the story of a man marrying an older woman, thus breaking away from the conventional way of thinking. This idea is unacceptable to the older generation but the younger breed seems to take it with a pinch of salt. The whole plot seems to take the audience through an emotional drama spiced up with some romantic scenes and of course a lot of humour added in to tickle those funny bones. The movie is directed by Shebi and stars Niranj and Miya George in the lead roles. This movie is produced under the banner Suhra Entertainments.
What to expect:
• Entertaining movie with an underlying message
• Impressive music
• Good performances
