Arun Selvakumar is the sole heir of a multi-million business empire. His mother Bhuvaneswar rose him after his father's death and looked after the business. His uncle has an eye on the big money and tries to kill the mother and son. Arun returns from abroad after graduating.
One day when visiting one of their factories Bhuvaneswari meets with an accident and falls into a coma. Arun tries everything to resurrect her into good health again in vain. One day, a Swamiji tell him that if he lives as a beggar for 48 days, his mother will recover.
Arun gives all the responsibilities to his friend Rajesh and goes to Chennai to lead his life as a beggar. One day, he comes across the heroine and in the following days befriends her. But one day, she comes to know that he is a beggar.
She feels cheated. What happens after that? If the heroine knows the real reason behind Arun being a beggar? Will Arun's mother recover? How Arun fights his crooked uncle all forms the crux of the story.
