Chanchala Reddy (Anushka Shetty) is an IAS collector who wants nothing but good for the villagers is accused of murdering her fiance Shakthi (Unni Mukundan). Eswar Prasad (Jayaram) is a politician who is depicted as a good-hearted person. Several idols of god and goddess were being stolen so, Eswar Prasad vows to resign from his post if the government fails to catch the culprit behind these robberies.
Troubled by this, his political rivals forge a plan to destroy him and appoints a CBI joint director Vaishnavi Natarajan (Asha Sarath) and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sampath (Murali Sharma) to interrogate Chanchal who worked under Eswar Prasad for 10 years. Since they didn't want this interrogation to go public, they take Chanchala away from remand home to a Bungalow in the outskirts named Baaghamathie Bungalow.
According to the natives, the bungalow was haunted and no one dares to go near that house. CBI officials interrogate her to spill dirt on Eswar Prasad. Chanchala is left alone in the haunted house and spirits take control of her. Chanchala seeks helps from Sampath but because of his personal vendetta against her for killing his brother Shakthi, he refuses to help.
Chanchala later is possessed by Baagamathie an ancient historical princess who seeks revenge against those who betrayed her. How this impacts her and everyone around her forms the rest of the story.
