Bareilly Ki Barfi Review & Rating|
Bareilly Ki Barfi is a romantic-comedy starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. This love triangle is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and is based in a small town in UP.
The actors have done a brilliant job in portraying the behavior of small-town people and the chemistry between Ayushmann and Kriti is good, but the best part about the movie is the comic timing between Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari who rose to fame after her directorial debut ‘Nil Battey Sanaata’ shines again with this film as she successfully captures the daily lives of small towns and makes us realize that there is humour in our daily routine. Javed Akhtar narrates the film and the dialogues are quirky and funny which will leave a smile on the audiences faces throughout the film.
The characters are so well written that they all can have a film of their own but this does not work well for the film as it seems over-crowded. Even then, Rajkummar is able to steal the show overshadowing both his co-stars.
Finally, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ succeeds in capturing the life of a small town and the intricacies of their daily routine. The film is a family entertainer that will maintain a smile on the viewer’s faces throughout the runtime and the actors do a marvelous job at portraying the roles and understanding human behavior. This film is definitely worth a watch.
