BalaKrishnudu Review & Rating|
Balakrishnudu featuring Nara Rohit and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles and directed by debutante Pavan Mallela released today. There's a decent buzz around the project, thanks to aggressive promotions and impressive trailer. Coming to the story, it is a simple story of Balu (played by Nara Rohit) who has to protect Aadhya (played by Regina) from the goons and bring her safely to her family. The film is about how Balu manages to do it. But the execution is entertaining because of the presence of Prudhvi who got a good screen time.
Nara Rohit impresses with his new look and performance wise he did a decent job. His screen presence is good and he managed to pull off fights and dance moves perfectly. Regina is superb looks wise and has nothing much to do performance wise. One actor who deserves all the applause is Prudhvi who is the major highlight of the film without a doubt. He got good screen time in this film and he made every minute of it worth with his impeccable comedy timing. Ramya Krishna, Ajay, and others were okay.
Production Values are quite good and the film looks quite rich. Vijay C Kumar's camerawork is good and the art work is okay. Manisharma's music is good and so was his background score which elevated chase sequences and fight scenes. Pavan Mallela as a director did pretty average job as he didn't utilise the acting capabilities of talented actors like Ramya Krishna and Nara Rohit. Though he uses the commercial template, he couldn't deliver a watchable project which is quite disappointing.
Verdict: Routine Commercial Entertainer, Watch it if you have nothing else to do.

Nara Rohit is one of those heroes, who choose different genre films and for the 1st time, he came with a full-on commercial entertainer. As we all know commercial entertainers come up with the same formulas, Balakrishnudu also falls in the same category. Keeping aside the routine story movie failed to impress.
Coming to the performances Nara Rohit did justice to the role. Regina Cassandra improved when compared to previous movies. Though they are many comedians like Vennela Kishore, Srinivas Reddy, Tagubothu Ramesh and Raghu Babu. None of them made impression except Pruthvi Raj. The cinematography was good, music by Mani Sharma was one the plus point.
Verdict: One time Watchable for those who love routine commercial flicks.
This movie is an average movie. Nara Rohith is done a good job as usual. Pruthvi is done a great job and made few laughs. He enters the scene before the interval and keeps entertaining with his energetic performance. coming to minus point, the story itself is a minus point. It's an old-fashioned faction story. There is absolutely no seriousness as most of the scenes look silly. Nara Rohit’s role has no clarity. I don't know why Ramya Krishna chosen this film. She recognised that she has retired after the biggest hit "Baahubali". She would have wait for better roles. Any how, go for this movie if you are a really Nara Rohith fan.
