In a village in Pakistan named Sultanpur lives a 6-year-old girl Shahida who is mute by birth. With a hope that God will restore her daughter's speech, Rasia, Shahida's mother takes her to the shrine of Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya in Delhi. While returning from Delhi, Shahid gets off the train to save a lamb and is left behind as the train leaves. Shahida then boards a freight train and winds up in Kurukshetra, Haryana. There she meets Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi a.k.a Bajrangi, a devotee of Lord Hanuman. Pawan names her Munni and vows to reunite her with her family. In his mission, Rasika, his Father's friend's daughter also helps Pawan.

Later the duo realizes that Munni is actually a Pakistani Muslim. After much ado, Pawan embarks on a lonesome journey to take back Munni to her home in Pakistan. Pawan and Munni enter Pakistan under the border's fences, but the Pawan is suspected of being an Indian spy and is thus arrested. However, he manages to escape with Munni. Pawan continues the journey and meets Chand Nawab, a Pakistani reporter, who decides to run Pawan's story, but his channel head refuses to air it. Chand Nawab then uploads Pawan's story on YouTube. Will Munni be able to reunite with her family, amidst all the issues, will Pawan be able to return to India, watch full movie to know more. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one of the biggest hit of Salman Khan's career. Having made on a budget of 9 crores, the movie grossed over 970 crores worldwide. The film received warm responses all over and as of today is the fourth highest-grossing Indian film ever worldwide. Bajrangi Bhaijaan won many accolades including National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, IFFA Awards, etc.
