Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Malayalam) Critic Reviews
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Malayalam) User Reviews
The crowd that is in front of theaters in Kerala that are screening Baahubali 2 is unprecedented. People are lining up from 3 AM for 6 AM show. In front of many theaters in Kerala, there are bigger cutouts of SS Rajamouli than that of Prabhas or Rana. Moviegoers are clearly stating that over to a Prabhas movie, Baahubali: The Conclusion is a masterstroke by SS Rajamouli.
Moviegoers have started offering RIP to Box Office! That much people are loving the movie. Baahubali 2 is sure to shatter all box office records by an Indian movie, till date. Early user reviews are all in favor of Baahubali: The Conclusion. Till now, literally, no one has given a negative review for the movie.
Here is the first Kerala audience response video from theaters. The common opinion among Kerala audience is the Baahubali 2 is better than Baahubali 1.
Here is a video after one of the shows of Baahubali 2 in Trivandrum, in which you can see Trivandrum Mayor and other dignitaries talking about their experience after the movie.
Baahubali: The Conclusion is all set to complete the epic duology which was envisioned by India's most maverick director SS Rajamouli, on April 28. The movie is, without a doubt, the most awaited, anticipated and hyped Indian movie of the long past. Releasing after 2 years of Baahubali: The Beginning, the movie hasn't lost even a single of its audience and all thanks to the cliffhanger ending of the first part, which left everyone with just one question, "Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?" (#WKKB). Though many fan theories have come up regarding this, some serious while some ROFL level funny, no one really knows why Kattappa did what he did. And this is the hook on which Rajamouli kept the moviegoers for so long. In fact, this might be the one movie secret kept for the longest duration, in the history of world cinema. A special kudos to the filmmaker for that.
Coming to the movie, it is sure that this movie will bigger, better and fierce than its prequel. And Baahubali 2 trailer assures the same. Counting on the budget, the set and the time spend on making this second part, one won't be expecting anything less than a cinematic marvel, at least of Indian standards. And this itself is the biggest challenge for the movie. Baahubali 2 audience response and word of mouth can go negative if the movie fails to live up to the hype it has created over the time. The saying of "hype is a two-sided sword", can come true in this case. And if it does, then the same will be reflected in Baahubali 2 reviews. Though the critic reviews of Baahubali: The Conclusion is not going to have an impact on the initial business of the movie, it will surely affect the long run and also the viability of Baahubali franchise, in the coming times.
Another issue with the movie is that, if the visual spectacle, that it shall be, fails to impress the audience, then there is nothing on the story part to make audience or critics give it a thumbs up. The only point in the storyline is the reason for #WKKB. Apart from that everyone knows what the story is going to be and how is it going to end, unless Rajamouli takes the craziest of roads. So, Baahubali 2 critic reviews and ratings can go south, if the above mentioned two points (grand scale visuals and the reason for #WKKB) are not that fits into the viewpoint of the audience.
Coming to the performance part. Everyone, expect Anushka, has owned their role in the first part itself. Prabhas as Baahubali and Shiva has been etched into the minds of every moviegoer. Same is the case of Ramya Krishnan, Satyaraj, Rana Daggubati, Tammannaah, and Nassar. So, Anushka needs to have a good screen time to prove her already know acting caliber, once again. Over to that she needs to bring the character of Devasena to the level of others and because of this, we can expect some really punching and powerful performance by Anushka in Baahubali: The Conclusion. And there is no point in talking about what Rajamouli had done for this movie. The trailer itself shows that he had outsmarted himself with this concluding part. And, if Baahubali 2, is able to win the heart of the audience, then SS Rajamouli, as a filmmaker, will become a brand as big as Jame Cameron or Christopher Nolan or Steven Spielberg.
Overall, Baahubali: The Conclusion is releasing on April 28, with lots of hope and expectations. And if it succeeds in living up to them, then nothing can stop Baahubali 2 from becoming the first Indian movie to cross 1000 crores in the worldwide collection and becoming an undetachable chapter in the history of Indian cinema. Else, it will end up as another movie among a lot, which came with tons of hype but didn't offer anything to remember over a period of time.
