Baaghi 2 Review & Rating|
Baaghi 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan, who has previously directed films like Fool N' Final and Lakeer. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala on a huge budget, this film is a remake of the Telugu hit film Kshanam, but only the basic plot has been taken. The makers have added some Bollywood Masala and high octane action sequences to attract more audiences and Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani play the lead roles in it. The cast also includes the likes of Prateik Babbar, Manoj Bajpai, Randeep Hooda and Deepak Dobriyal who have all proven their mettle as actors in their previous works.
The film tells the story of Ronnie (played by Tiger Shroff), who is contacted by an ex-lover from college named Neha (Disha Patani) who was in an accident two months ago where her 3-year-old daughter named Rhea gets kidnapped. Upon not receiving any call for a ransom, she asks for Ronnie's help who drops everything and goes to Goa to help her. When he starts investigating, Ronnie starts to believe that Rhea never existed and Neha is going through a mental disorder. The suspense that follows and the action sequences form the rest of the film, which Tiger Shroff carries with his performance.
Tiger Shroff is the main attraction of the film and he carries the film on his shoulders perfectly. It has been seen before that Tiger can perform really well in action scenes and dance sequences and director Ahmed Khan has used his skills to the film's advantage. From the actor's entry. the film kicks off into action territory and keeps the adrenaline running throughout the film. Disha Patani looks fabulous and has shown her chops as an actress in this movie. The performances by Manoj Bajpai and Randeep Hooda come as a pleasant surprise and their characters have been given some of the best dialogues in the film.
Deepak Dobriyal excels in his small but significant role and will be remembered for his performance. Cinematographer Seamus McGarvey has captured the scenery of Goa beautifully and has shot the action scenes in such a way that will keep the viewers pumped up. A special mention goes to Prateik Babbar and Vijay Raaz, who give some of the best performances in the film.
The script has been written beautifully, and even though the story is from the Telugu film Kshanam, changes have been made to the script to fit to the Hindi moving going audience. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has created a grand film with beautiful locations and an impressive treatment of the film. The music of the film is very catchy and the soundtrack is already a hit.
Be it Tiger and Disha's moves in the song Mundiyaan or Jacqueline's performance in the remake of the song Ek Do Teen which has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal, the songs have been shot perfectly and seem very colorful. Given that director Ahmed Khan was a choreographer, he has not put the dance numbers on the back and has focused on them as equally as the action sequences.
Verdict: The film is an out and out action film and fans of the genre or Tiger Shroff will like it.
Baaghi 2 Critic Reviews
Baaghi 2 User Reviews
Baaghi 2 focuses completely on Tiger Shroff's ability to perform in action sequences. There is no doubt that he is one of the best fighters and dancers in Bollywood but even he can't perform well without a good script. The film is a remake of Kshanam which had far better performances and seemed believable. The use of flashbacks to show a love story and the loud background music ruins this film. Manoj Bajpai, Randeep Hooda and Deepak Dobriyal act as a saving grace but Disha Patani is completely wasted. She isn't in the second half of the film, 30 minutes of which include an action sequence that was completely unnecessary. The songs too seem forced and the editing could have been better.
exlaint... trailer Gjb
The latest installment in the Baaghi franchise, Baaghi 2 is one of the most awaited movies of the year which stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in the lead roles. It is a sequel to Baaghi which starred Tiger opposite Shraddha Kapoor. This latest film is directed by Ahmed Khan and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, who has left no expense to make this a huge movie. The film is finally out in theaters and this is what the public has to say about it:
The viewers were drawn to the theaters after watching the trailer, which promised a lot of intriguing action sequences and intense drama that has kept the audience at the edge of their seats. The choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan is being appreciated for keeping the screenplay tight and the fast pace of the film.
Tiger Shroff has fit comfortably in his role and carries out the action sequences with perfection. He is the center of attraction to the film and has managed to become a youth icon despite being just a few films old in Bollywood. Disha Patani in the role of Ronnie's ex girlfriend has performed brilliantly and has looked gorgeous in the flashback sequences. She has also excelled in the dramatic scenes and the viewers feel she will have a long and successful career in acting.
The biggest positive point about the film is that the director has kept the suspense of the film intact till the end, which will keep the audience intrigued and glued to the screen till the final scene. The story of the film has been taken by the Tollywood movie Kshanam and changes were done accordingly to please the Bollywood viewers.
The screenplay is full of interesting twists and turns and the editing has been done almost to perfection. The last 30 minutes of the film is pure action that will remind the people of the first Baaghi film. Performances by Randeep Hooda, Manoj Bajpai and Deepak Dobriyal are also being loved but Tiger Shroff is the star of the film.
Not only the general audience, but big stars from Bollywood are also praising the movie and are calling Tiger the new action star. The music of the film is also being well received and the chemistry between Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani seems very natural. The film has received a bigger opening than Padman and is expected to earn big bucks at the box-office.
One of the biggest attractions of the film is the stunts performed by Tiger Shroff, which has attracted a lot of audience from the youth to the theaters. Tiger is being compared to the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Lee. Interestingly, Tiger Shroff has been cast in the Indian remake of Rambo.

Remake Of A Successful Telugu Film
Baaghi 2 is an official remake of super hit Telugu film Kshanam which had Adivi Sesh and Adah Sharma in the lead roles. With a brilliantly written screenplay and engaging background score, Kshanam turned out to be one of the finest thrillers of Telugu cinema. Adivi Sesh has also written the story and screenplay for the film apart from playing the male lead. Made on a very low budget, Kshanam was commercially successful as well but Baaghi 2 makers have made enough changes to make it a big budget entertainer.
As the film is a thrilling drama at its core, director Ahmed Khan has left no stone unturned when it comes to capturing the tension and drama of the story. He has also cast real-life couple Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani so that their chemistry in the film seems natural and has put in a lot of entertaining action to cut off the tension from the dramatic scenes. Because of his near perfect directorial decisions, Sajid Nadiadwala has signed Ahmed Khan to direct Baaghi 3 as well.
Superhit Music and Dance
The music of the film is already a hit with songs like Lo Safar and O Saathi already ruling the charts all over. Having talented dancers like Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff guarantees great dance performances which can be seen in the song Mundiyan. Apart from this, the makers have also released a remake of the song Ek Do Teen which was originally filmed on Madhuri Dixit for the film Tezaab. Here, Jacqueline Fernandez can be seen grooving to the song which is a super hit among viewers.
Apart from the lead pair of Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff, the film also boasts of a talented supporting cast that includes Manoj Bajpai, Randeep Hooda, and Prateik Babbar who have all proved their mettle as actors in their previous films. Having them on board will definitely work in the favor of the film.
