Anando Brahma Review & Rating
Right from the time the first look of 'Anando Brahma' released, there has been something positive about this movie. Choosing the horror comedy genre, director Mahi V Raghav picked a sensible line which looks pretty novel. Ghosts getting scared of humans is something we haven't heard in the past. And this movie doesn't have just that, but a lot more. Raju (Rajeev Kanakala) wants to sell his house, but his agent (Raja Ravindra) turns greedy and wants to acquire it at a very cheap price. This is when he scares everyone by saying that a ghost exists in the house. Is there really a ghost and what happens with Raju selling his house is a perfect rib tickling ride. Even though the movie is a low budget one, it's quite high on the content.
The gang of four comedians led by Srinivas Reddy from the front stands as one major asset for the movie. Vennela Kishore's role as a person suffering from night blindness is superb. Thagubothu Ramesh, as usual, excelled in his role as Tulasi, who drinks only after 9 PM. Above all stands Shakalaka Shankar who evoked unending laugh through the second half. Looks like he has become a pro starring in horror movies. Rajeev Kanakala comes as a surprise package after quite some time. Taapsee Pannu also excelled in her limited time role and has done justice to her role in the film.
However, the hero of 'Anando Brahma' is the bound script. Mahi V Raghav has excellently written the characters, especially the four comedians' characters. The movie breaks the cliches of a horror comedy at many parts. Editing as well as the cinematography is crisp and neat. Especially the sequences that come in the second half have hit sky high and will end the movie for you on a good note. This movie will definitely give a break for Mahi and bring him to the bigger league.
Final Verdict: After watching a number of love stories and revenge dramas, a little different and loaded with plenty comedy, this is a perfect relief for the weekend. Have a fun-filled weekend. Movie worth your bucks!
