Aksar 2 Review & Rating
'Aksar 2' is a film directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan who also directed the original 'Aksar'. The film stars Zareen Khan, Gautam Rode and Abhinav Shukla in the lead roles and is a thriller that tells the story of greedy and lecherous people who try to get the money of an aging billionaire. The acting in the film is weak and the story gives nothing to the actors to perform with.
The director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan is successful and tight first half but fails when it comes to captivating the audience in the second half of the film. It is full of confusing twists and turns and has many plot holes. The dialogues are very cheesy and predictable but the cinematographer Maneesh Chandra takes the attention away from it by showing beautiful scenes.
Verdict: 'Aksar 2' tries to capture and capitalize on the success of its predecessor 'Aksar' but instead, confuses the audience. This film can be avoided.

'Aksar 2' is one of the most anticipated movies of the year for me, thanks to the title! Coming to the movie, its a big disappointment for all those people who love thrillers with a gripping screenplay. The screenplay of the film is neither gripping nor there is the thrill in the movie. It is better if I don't talk about the performances which are not at all impressive. The first half an hour or so is good but slowly director lost his control over the script and inserts many twists and turns which irritate the audience. The climax of the film is a big let down and I suggest you to skip this one for this weekend and wait for a better sequel.
Coming as sequel to super hit film 'Aksar, there were high expectations in 'Aksar 2' right from the beginning. But multiple postponements made people lose interest in this flick. Coming to the movie, the story begins on an interesting note and continues to be interesting till the interval point. But the second half of the film is the culprit as the film becomes predictable and pale without any interesting moments. Director Ananth does a decent job in the first half but fails to continue the suspense elements in the second half. Zareen Khan does an okayish job and Aksar 2 makes a decent watch for those who doesn't have a better thing to do this weekend.
In the first place, I don’t remember Aksar which had Emraan Hashmi, was a hit or not but the reason to make a sequel is beyond me. Aksar 2 doesn’t have anything new to offer, reminds you of being a rip-off from a c-grade Hollywood flick of the 90’s. The three leads are at their wooden best with just a single expression throughout the film. Zareen Khan should give up acting and director Ananth Mahadevan should follow suit. I wanna a refund of my ticket!!!!
What is it about?
The story revolves around Mrs. Khambatta (Lillette Dubey), an aging owner of an empire who asks her financial manager Pat to hire another elderly lady. However, Pat convinces her and hires a young Sheena Roy (Zareen Khan).Over the time, he gets attracted to Sheena and forces her to return his favor. Having no choice, Sheena submits to Pat but does not disclose this to her boyfriend Ricky. The story then takes twists and turns from here.
What to expect?
'Aksar 2' promises a thrilling mystery with twists and turns that are sure to capture and intrigue the audiences.
