1921 Review & Rating
The movie centres around a gifted pianist Ayush Asthana played by Karan Kundra who travels from India to York to study music. His sponsor Mr. Wadia requests him to take care of his vast mansion there. Ayush starts to experience paranormal activities in the mansion. He then asks help of a ghost whisperer Rose played by Zareen Khan. Rose agreed to help him get rid of the eerie things happening in the house. In the course of dealing with the paranormal things, love is embarked on them. Rest is the journey of the couple fighting together against the monstrous spirit.
Zareen Khan has improved as an actor, and this can be seen throughout the movie where she keeps on saving the movie from sinking. While on the other hand, Karan Kundra delivered a very poor acting. The actor really needs to work on his expressions and his skills as an actor. Karan as a musician did not convince the audience very much.
The movie plot has so many loose ends and elongated flashbacks are the major drawbacks of the movie. The background score did justice to the movie genre and big thumbs up to Siddharth Haldipur and Sangeet Haldipur for keeping the audience’s fear mode on throughout the movie. There is an unexpected twist in the climax but it is badly presented and badly executed.
Final Verdict: Everything is running a bit downhill for the movie 1921. If you have watched other films from the 1920 movie franchise and now if you are looking for laughter in a scary movie then do watch 1921.
