Sushant Singh Rajput is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Hindi Movies. Sushant who initially started his acting career by acting in TV soap operas like ‘Kis Desh Mai Hai Meraa Dil’ and ‘Pavitra Rishta’, made his Bollywood debut in director Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kai Po Che’ in 2013. The actor got a lot of appreciation for his first film, and since then he never looked back. In the years followed by, he acted in ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, ‘PK’ and 'Byomkesh Bakshy'. Notably, he played cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the biopic, 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ which he followed it up with ‘Raabta’.

Sushant spent his initial years in Patna, Bihar before his family shifted base to Delhi after his mother’s untimely demise. In Delhi he joined Delhi College of Engineering which later got to be called Delhi Technology University but due to his interest in acting he dropped out of the course and enrolled himself in the dance classes of Shiamak Davar’s after which he decided to make a career in acting. He also got enrolled in Barry John’s acting classes where he learned the nuances of acting. His passion towards dancing and acting made him give up his Engineering as he felt unhappy and claustrophobic in his college classrooms. This decision made him to take up dancing and acting full-time. To get a break in films he shifted base to Mumbai to try his luck in acting. In Mumbai he joined theater actress and writer Nadira Babbar’s ‘Ekjute’ theater group where he was a part of it for two-and-half-years. During his tenure in ‘Ekjute’ he got a chance to feature in a TV advertisement of Nestle Munch which made filmmakers take note of him.
