Surabhi is an Indian actress who works majorly in Tamil and Telugu movies. After pursuing her graduation in Fine Arts and an acting course in Imago School of Acting, New Delhi, she ventured into the South Indian Film Industry. She marked her acting debut with the Tamil movie 'Ivan Veramathiri' in 2013. She entered into Telugu film industry with 'Beeruva' in 2015. With an ever glowing appearance and natural performances, she is cementing a place of her own in the South Indian Film Industry.
Since her college days, Surabhi aspired to pursue a career in films and accordingly prepared herself by going through an acting course in Imago School of Acting (ISA), New Delhi, under the guidance of Barry John and Manoj Bajpai. She then made her acting debut in the year 2013 with a Tamil movie, 'Ivan Veramathiri' directed by Saravanan where she starred opposite Vikram Prabhu. She was praised by the director for her dedication in picking up the lines and the critics too applauded her for the ease and freshness she brought into the movie with her natural performance. Marking her screen presence as 'arresting', she was even nominated for Vijay and SIIMA Awards in the Best Debut Actress category.
She was then roped in for a special role in 'Velaiyilla Pattathari' in 2014 under the direction of Velraj. She garnered great response though she made a brief appearance. She also shot for a brief role in Suseenthiran's 'Jeeva' but later backed out due to her exam commitments. It was during one of her Tamil movie shoots, she met actor Sundeep Kishan who recommended her to audition for his Telugu movie, 'Beeruva'. She auditioned successfully and thus made her Tollywood Debut in the year 2015.
The year 2016 picked up the momentum for Surabhi. She was roped into RGV's 'Attack' but her movie with Sharwanand 'Express Raja' released ahead for 2016, Sankranthi where she again received positive response for her beautiful smile and subtle performance. In the same year, she was also roped into an action film, 'Pugazh' written and directed by Manimaran where she starred opposite to Jai. Impressed by Surabhi's performance in 'Velaiyilla Pattathari', Nani suggested her name to Mohankrishna Indraganti for his movie 'Gentleman'. She received good responses for her performance in the movie.
With Surabhi's Telugu cinema and Tamil cinema career sailing smooth, she entered 2017 with a couple of exciting projects. She signed up a Tamil movie 'Adangathey' under the direction of Shanmugam Muthusamy where she will be seen opposite GV Prakash Kumar. The movie is slated for a release in 2017. She is also starring in 'Kural 388', a Telugu - Tamil bilingual where she is paired opposite Manchu Vishnu, who is making his Tamil debut. She will also be starring in Allu Sirish's next Telugu sci-fi flick under the direction of VI Anand of 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' fame.
Surabhi completed Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the College of Arts, Delhi. With proper awareness in the field of arts, she started off by picking modelling assignments as she wanted to pursue a career in films. She then enrolled for an acting course at Imago School of Acting (ISA), New Delhi, under the guidance of Barry John and Manoj Bajpai.
