Rashmi Gautam is an actress and television host in south India. She has started her career in supporting roles in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industries. After receiving appreciations for her character in Tamil movie Kandaen in 2011, she has stepped into the television industry. She is well known as the host of Jabardast, Ragada and Super Kutumbam in Telugu television.

Rashmi Gautam was born and brought up in Visakha[atnam, Andhra Pradesh. Having a keen interest in acting and in the entertainment world, Rashmi moved to Hyderabad in search of acting jobs. However, her parents stayed back in Visakhapatnam. Rashmi has come a long way since acting in supporting role to anchoring in television shows to bagging the leading roles in major south Indian films.

Rashmi Gautam made her small screen debut in 2007 with Telugu tele-series Yuva which aired on Vanitha channel. In 2011, she appeared as a contestant on Idea Super and was eliminated before the grand finale. Rashmi Gautam got huge popularity after appearing as an actor in a Telugu TV comedy show Jabardasth, the most popular show on Telugu television which aired on ETV. She did anchoring for various tv series like Super Kutumbam, Ragada The Ultimate Dance Show, and Extra Jabardasth. Rashmi then appeared as a team leader in Dhee Jodi and Dhee 10 between 2016-2018. Currently, Rashmi working as an anchor for a Telugu show Anubhavinchu Raja.

Rashmi Gautam Movie Career

Rashmi Gautam started her career filmy career in Tollywood industry with a 2002 movie Holi. She appeared in supporting roles in Telugu movie for a brief period of time until 2010 when she was spotted by actress Sangeetha at a reality dance show. Sangeetha later referred her to Mugil and thus how Rashmi bagged the role of leading lady in Tamil film Kandaen. Upon release the movie received mixed reviews, however, critics praised Rashmi for her acting and glam quotient. 

Rashmi subsequently made her Sandalwood debut with movie Guru opposite Gururaj and was nominated SIIMA for Best Female Debutant Actress (Kannada). Rashmi Gautam has appeared in Hindi films: Well Done Abba, Login, Tamil films: Mappilai Vinayagar, Priyamudan Priya and Telugu films: Next Nuvve, Thanu Vachchenanta, Rani Gaari Bungalow, etc.
