Introduction
Jaya Ahsan is a Bangladeshi actress who has been a part of several commercial and middle-of-the-road films in Bangladesh and received huge appreciation from critics and masses. She debuted in the Bangladeshi film industry with the movie Dubshatar, although, the movie was not successful at box office, her acting was highly appreciated. Arindam Sil cast her for Aborto which became Ahsan's first film in Tollywood. After that, she essayed a pivotal role in Srijit's Rajkahini. She has worked in over 30 films and has been a part of more than 70 TV series including Bangladeshi and Indian filmography.
Jaya Ahsan Early Life
Jaya was born in Dhaka and is the daughter of the freedom fighter Md. A.S. Maswood and Rehana Maswood. Jaya was a model in her early career days and did modeling and many promotional advertisements for brands like Coca-Cola. She left modeling and joined a Newspaper company Bohrer Kagoj which evoked her interest in media. She joined a children's school but after a short stint she returned to modeling. She performed a role in a Bangladeshi teledrama Panchami for which she came into the acting spotlight.

Before becoming a TV and film actress, Jaya started her career as a model in the late 1990s. She has worked in various teledramas and series. She got vast recognition for her role as Aaysha in Anechy Shurjer Hashi and Monika in Labonyo Probha. She was very selective when it came to the plot and her character which made her gain success in the Bangladeshi television industry. So far, she has acted in numerous Tv series and Tv films, gave stunning performances back to back and soon became the most popular and highest paid actress in the television industry of Bangladesh. Jaya gained success on big screen in her later age and she received three National Film Awards of Bangladesh in the Best Actress category. Jaya is always praised by the critics for her unrivaled acting performances and her most memorable works as an actor can be seen in Zero Degree, Chorabali, Guerrilla, and Aborto. Jaya also won many awards for her performances in Indian-Bangla films like Eagoler Chokh, Bishorjon, and Rajkahini. The actress is currently working on the series of acting projects lined up for 2018.
