Introduction
Asha Sharath was born as the daughter of Krishnan Kutty, a retired employee of Travancore Rayons. She is graduated from Sree Sankara College Kalady Asha is settled in Dubai from 1995, following her marriage with TV Sharath.
The dancer turned actress was offered to perform the character Professor Jayanthi in a Television mega serial. Her performance in the serial made the mini screen serial lovers especially, the women fall for her character. The character Professor Jayanthi became so popular and that had taken the actress to the silver screen. Asha Sharath made her debut in the silver screen with the movie Friday. She performed many noted characters but her performance in Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam gave her the biggest break in Mollywood. Her character as the Police officer was appreciated across the borders and she was roped in by Kamal Haasan to perform the same character in the Tamil remake titled Paapanasam.

Asha Sharath was born to VS Krishnan Kutty Nair and Kalamandalam Sumathy on 19th July 1975 at Perumbavoor, Ernakulam. Her mother is a renowned classical Indian dancer who founded the Natyalaya School of Classical Dances in Kerala. Asha was trained in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi by her mother. She had even gone on to win the top prize at 1992 All India Dance Fete at Benares.

Asha Sharath was already an established dancer when she was approached for the telefilm, NizhalumNilavumParayunnath. The film bagged her State Television Award for the Second Best Actress. She went on to appear in many popular TV soaps like ‘Indulekha’, ‘PonnumPoovum’ and most famously in Kumkumapoovu. Her performance as Prof Jayanthi won her fans across Kerala and bagged her awards. She won the Asianet, Asiavision awards for her performance. Asha had shifted to Dubai after her marriage to Sharath Varrier. She was a program producer in Radio Asia radio channel based out in Chennai. She also established a dance school called Kairali Kalakendram with branches at Karama, Qusais, Discovery Gardens and Sharjah in the UAE. She started her career with a telefilm which was shot in Dubai and later paved the way for Kumkumapoovu.
The actress made her feature film debut with Friday in 2012. The film had her in a prominent role alongside actors like Fahadh Faasil and Prakash Bare. She was next seen in Major Ravi’s Karmayodha, starring Mohanlal.
