Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan, son of noted poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan, is a prominent actor, also famous for his baritone. Though ‘Saat Hindustani’ was his first film, but it was Prakash Mehra’s ‘Zanjeer’ (1973) that gave him the first major break and the "angry young man" tag. Married to actress Jaya Bhaduri, he was recently honoured with the Padma Vibhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema.
