The second wave of the global pandemic COVID-19 is reaching new heights in the nation. Each passing day, thousands of new cases and hundreds of deaths are being reported, despite the vaccination drive in progress. What's more worrying is the shortage of beds, oxygen cylinders, and other medical facilities in comparison with the rising number of cases. This has already forced several state governments to impose strict restrictions and might also lead to yet another lockdown if the situation runs out of control.
The film industry is one of the biggest sectors that was affected last year by the lockdown. Looks like a similar situation is on cards soon, and the entertainment industry is in all panic. Already several films have postponed the release, and shoots for many films have come to a halt after cast and crew testing positive. But there are a few actors who are daring these frightening situations and putting work in the foreground. Yes, we have several times heard of actors going the extra mile for films, but these Tollywood actors are risking their lives in these troubled times, even after the government and TFPC asking filmmakers to stop film shootings.
Natural Star Nani is shooting his much ambitious period drama Shyam Singha Roy in the specially erected Kolkata sets in Hyderabad, while Naga Chaitanya flew to Italy to shoot a key schedule of his next film Thank You under Vikram Kumar's direction. Besides these, big stars like Balakrishna and Stylish Star Allu Arjun are also busy shooting their upcoming projects Akhanda and Pushpa respectively.
While it is understandable that Balayya is hell-bent to complete the shoot as the film was scheduled for 28th May release (well, chances of postponement are high because of theatre shutdown), but Allu Arjun's Pushpa, Nani's SSR, and Chay's Thank You have a long time to hit the screens, and it is still a question why these actors are fervid to complete the shootings despite testing times.
