Who’s Next After Anushka, Samantha, And Kajal? - A Look Out

Anushka is the de facto lady superstar of Telugu Cinema. Samantha is the top South Indian actress. But none of these two laid their claim to Lady superstar of South Indian Cinema like Nayanthara did. While Nayan’s roaster is full to the brim with many films till 2022 at least, Anushka’s time is nearly up and she’s not accepting many roles which truly demand her presence.

Samantha has been more into unnecessary controversies than movies lately. Kajal Aggarwal who completes the trio of bug heroines of Tollywood is nearly fading away. Tamannaah might be getting roles but she’s not going to stay relevant for long. And finally, where is Nithya Menen?

Who are the potential replacements for these three actresses who ruled the roost for about a decade to decade and a half each? They are beautiful. Played glamorous and non-glamorous roles equally well. Especially Anushka and Samantha are known for their acting more than beauty. Such was their screen presence and command over performance that they acted in a lot many female oriented films.

Now, in the next generation, though Pooja Hegde is the hottest heroine (not what you think) right now on a big success streak, the less we speak about her performance the better. She’s more of a butta bomma than a powerhouse actress. Rashmika May replace Samantha to an extent but she’s rejecting many roles that demand intense performance from her side.

While Niddhi Agerwal is still finding her feet, Nabha who’s a lot more talented than the likes of Niddhi and Rashmika, has yet to get a blockbuster where she doesn’t have to do glamour show. Sai Pallavi is a real superstar material but the number of films she rejected are more than double that of her actual filmography. She’s a special talent is an undeniable fact!

The only exception is Keerthy Suresh who’s utilising every possible opportunity to establish her credentials as the next big actress of the generation. That she’s a national award winner is just a side note compared to the impact she created among film buffs with her towering performances in movies like Penguin and probably in Miss India.
