Much awaited and talked about Vakeel Saab which is based on Bollywood classic Pink has finally hit the screens yesterday to great fanfare. Despite mixed to positive critical appraisal, the Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer opened to record breaking numbers despite many restrictions. Right from 11th hour cancellation of benefit and fan shows to the returning of higher ticket fare to the audience in Andhra Pradesh due to a GO, and amidst the scare of the second wave of Corona, Pawan Kalyan’s reentry film opened to a massive response.
It has taken a longer time than usual to get the exact estimates (surprisingly with a 5% error (generally our error range hovers around 1% on an average) as not many distributors or the exhibitors are willing to spill out the numbers due to the indirect and passive tussle between AP government and the Jana Sena chief.
