Bollywood Adult comedy movies have always garnered a lot of attention on release from moviegoers. There have been adult comedies as well as romantic comedies with bold content which managed to raise a few eyebrows of which some became popular while some bit the dust. At the same time, Bollywood has also surprised many with its bold movies and adult comedies imparting sexual education in a comical way which dealt either with women related sexual desires or men related medical conditions or sexual disorders. Many of these movies have either ended up with the censor board rejecting them or joining the list of banned movies in Bollywood.   1. Poster Boys (2017)

    Poster Boys’ is the latest offing having adult content which dealt with men’s sexual issue, vasectomy or ‘nasbandi’. The film which is a remake of the successful Marathi hit ‘Poshter Boyz’ sees actor Shreyas Talpade wielding the megaphone for the first time. The sex comedy which also stars Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol revolves around three men who realize that their pictures have appeared on a vasectomy poster without their knowledge. What follows after that is a tale of comedy of errors which leads to further confusion.

  2. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017)

    One of the best adult comedy movies in recent times has been the Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ which dealt with the issue of men’s erectile dysfunction that is a common sexual disorder for many nowadays. A remake of the Tamil hit film ‘Kalyana Samayal Sadham’, this Aanand L Rai production touched upon the issue of how one needs to deal with the disorder which is very much curable as all men lead a stressful life.     Talk about films dealing with men’s sexual disorder content, ‘Guddu Ki Gun’ beats them all. The adult comedy film talks about a salesman with a high desire for sex who has this uncanny knack of sleeping with women he desires for. All hell breaks loose when he realizes that his private part has turned into gold and everyone wants a piece of it. This Kunal Khemu starrer starts on a hilarious note but runs out of steam soon.

    Hunterrr’ was another adult comedy which dealt with another men’s sex-related syndrome where the protagonist is obsessed with sex and can’t live without it. Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, the film starring Gulshan Devaiah, Radhika Apte and Sai Tamhankar in the lead roles talked about the lustful journey of a man’s life who is a sex addict for which he is called ‘Vasu.’ ‘Hunterrr’ was remade in different Indian regional languages. This flick should be seen either alone or with your friends but certainly not to watch with your parents or elders.

    National award winning director Shoojit Sircar’s take on sperm donation through fertility centers was something which served as an eye-opener. ‘Vicky Donor’ wasn’t a sex-comedy in the real sense but was a bold attempt to highlight the sensitive issue of couples who remain childless. Ayushmann Khurrana as a sperm donor and Annu Kapoor as Dr. Chaddha, a fertility expert convincing the former to donate his sperm to childless couples was a concept that went down well with the audiences. ‘Vicky Donor’ was later remade into different languages.

  6. Mumbai Matinee (2003)

    ‘Mumbai Matinee’ revolved around a 30-year-old man played by Rahul Bose, who has 'never done it'. Despite having two friends confiding in him and helping him out in a series of hilarious embarrassing situations, the man fails to lose his virginity. Though the film dealt with a common men’s sexual disorder subject it still managed to evoke enough laughs. Despite finding appreciation among critics this sex-comedy failed at the box office due to lack of promotions.

    The reason for including director Basu Chatterjee’s sex comedy film in the list is that it dealt with men’s sexual syndrome crisis where their female partners undergo a menopause. ‘Shaukeen’ was a situational comedy with sex as its undercurrent which made it all the more hilarious. Based on three old men played by veterans Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal who set out to explore their physical needs by visiting Goa without their family’s knowledge. The film was later remade by director Abhishek Sharma with the title of ‘The Shaukeens’ featuring Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra.

    This satirical comedy directed by veteran comedian actor IS Johar revolved around the compulsory sterilization drive initiated by the then ruling government of India during the emergency period. ‘Nasbandi’ had a hoard of hero duplicates and lookalikes of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shashi Kapoor and Manoj Kumar who were seen promoting vasectomy for married Indian men in order to control the country’s rapid growing population.
