If Bengal is known for its Rosogulla’s, Mishti Doi, Macher Jhol and Rabindra Sangeet, then Bengali film industry is not far behind. Though on an average nearly 50 movies of various genres release every year at the Tollywood box-office, a mere ten percent of them succeed.
Tollywood’s Bengali cinema currently is trying to reinvent itself by producing more content driven movies but the fact remains the results are not encouraging enough to write home about.
