India is a land of spirituality, and often people go to any extent in name of God. Even at times of pandemic, people are thronging to places of worship throwing the COVID-19 norms to the wind. The recent Maha Kumbh Mela in Haridwar is witnessing an ample number of devotees who have come to take the holy dip in Ganga. Now, Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in his recent Tweet made a big comment that the Delhi Jammat gathering held last year was just a short film when compared to the Baahubali like Kumbh Mela. "All us Hindus owe an apology to Muslims because they did back then when they didn't know, and we did this one year after we fully know," he added.
While Mumbai city is witnessing a lockdown-like situation again amidst the raising cases, other states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and others are making necessary precautionary measures to curb the spread in public gatherings, cinema halls, etc. However, it is in the hands of the people either to become a victim of the virus or to follow safety rules to stay safe.
