Rang De is one of the interesting films to watch this pre-summer season. One of the reasons for this is the collaboration between Nithin and Mahanati actress a Keerthy Suresh. Advertised as a musical romantic entertainer, let’s see what are the expected highlights of this film.
1. Nithin Back To His Native Genre
After the experimental crime thriller genre like Check which gave him a big jolt, Nithin is back to his native genre. Romantic entertainer. He’s good in these kinds of films where he’s energetic and exudes enough confidence to pull off the roles with ease. As we had seen with Bheeshma, he’s appearing perfectly fit to entertain us.
2. Venky Atluri Direction
Venky Atluri is one of the two Venkys to debut in 2018 with a romantic entertainer. While Venky Kudumula depended more on comedy, Venky Atluri had given his film Tholi Prema a modern poetic touch. The dilalogues are more mature, the comedy came out naturally, and the love angle is dealt with in a stylistically urbane fashion. This is very rare among the younger generation of the filmmakers. Such was his talent that he’s given the opportunity to direct Akhil Akkineni. Though Mr. Manju failed at BO, the film stood out for some of the strengths of Venky Atluri. The detailing he gives to the plot and integrating the subplots into the main narrative is also an asset.
3. Finally Keerthy Suresh On Big Screen
Though she gained a lot of following in North India thanks to the OTT releases of her films so much so that her name was trending for Adipurush Sita, Keerthy Suresh failed to score a critical success with her films lately. Especially the female oriented subjects. Finally she’s now back to a breezy genre where she received an author backed role. From what we have seen from the promos and trailers, she has done a fantastic job. A box office hit here will consolidate her position as a prospective pan-India heroine from South India.
Apart from these, music plays a major role in Venky’s films. Devi Sri Prasad seems to have done a fantastic job with his album. The film also appears to have an against the grain style of the narrative where our perceptions based on trailers and promos will be turned upside down with the film. Interesting choice.
