Days after the first look poster and motion poster of Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Acharya is out, it is charged with copy and plagiarism allegations. The other day we reported that a writer named Kanneganti Anil Krishna accused makers of copying the opening scene in the motion poster. And now, an upcoming director named Rajesh Manduri raised allegations on the makers.
As per the accusations made by Rajesh, he has narrated the storyline to Mythri Movie Makers way back in 2018. When they expressed their view that Koratala Siva should direct the film, Rajesh denied it as he himself wanted to direct the film. Receiving no further call from the production house regarding the project, Rajesh narrated the same story to another producer and convinced him to make it with Nandamuri Balakrishna playing the lead role.
Meanwhile, he came to known about Acharya and approached Paruchuri Gopalakrishna for justice. He is also said to have complained about MMM and the concerned people in the Telugu Cine Writers Association. After all his attempts failed to provide him justice, Rajesh finally came before media seeking justice. Speaking in an interview with a Telugu daily, Rajesh demanded makers to give him the story credits.
Story Pitched By Rajesh:
As per the story pitched and narrated by Rajesh, it deals with the revenge of father and son, where the father character will be killed in the 1990 backdrop. The story will be in the backdrop of the endowment lands occupied by some power centres for generations together as per him. Though it is too early to say that Acharya also deals with the same story, it is widely reported that it is based on scams in the endowment department, and Ram Charan is playing an extended cameo role is giving power to the allegations.
With two copy allegations even before the release, we need to see how makers respond to them.
