Social media sites are the most beautiful tools created to exchange information and make new connections across the globe, but it does have a darker and scary side to it, as it also welcomes anonymous trolls, abuses, harassments, etc. In recent times, these online abuses are turning more toxic, especially, its influence is more on teens.

In a shocking incident, a 16-year old teen from Gujarat got arrested for allegedly issuing rape threats to Dhoni's daughter Ziva. He made these offensive comments on Dhoni's wife Sakshi's Instagram account. This incident (happened after CSK lost their game to KKR in the ongoing IPL 2020) sparked massive outrage from several netizens and celebs.

As police acted swiftly and detained the boy behind it, many hailed their efforts. Appreciating the effort of cops, actor Madhavan also took to Twitter and wrote that it is the time to clamp down and put some fear on these faceless monsters who are misusing the power of the Internet and social platforms, even though they are teens.

Sharing Madhavan's tweet, Telugu anchor-actress Anasuya Bharadwaj stated that she faces such online abuse daily. She also wished to have more strict regulations as these abuses take a toll on many. She also questioned what would happen when someone comes across such disgusting abuses when they are in their weakest moment.

It is not new for celebs to face the brunt of netizens on various issues, but trollers involving the family members of celebs, and abusing them is certainly not an acceptable thing. We hope that the government and policymakers come up with more stringent measures to make social media a safe environment for all.
