Cinematographer, Director K.V. Anand Passes Away

K.V. Anand is a renowned cinematographer and director of Tamil Cinema. He worked as a cinematographer in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi film industries. A few of Anand's best works as a cinematographer include Kadhal Desam (Prema Desam), Mudhalvan (Oke Okkadu), The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Sivaji, etc. In the early hours of Friday, Anand suffered a cardiac arrest and reached a nearby hospital by himself. However, he passed away at around 3 AM. This news has shocked the film fraternity.

Vakeel Saab OTT Release: Dil Raju pocketing Rs 12 crores in addition to an earlier deal

Vakeel Saab film ended its theatrical run right after two weeks because of corona second wave. Hence, the producer of Dil Raju opted to give the film an early digital release. The film is already streaming on Amazon Prime. With this early digital release agreement with Amazon Prime Video, Dil Raju is pocketing Rs 12 crores in addition to an earlier deal. Now against the initial 50-day theatrical run deal, Vakeel Saab is premiering on Prime just 20 days after the theatrical release.

The makers of Vakeel Saab deciding to prepone the digital release by a couple of weeks has worked against Sulthan. If not for a clash with Vakeel Saab, Sulthan would have remained the first choice for the Telugu audience for binge-watching this weekend.

Inspiring woman, sharpshooter Chandro Tomar also known as 'Shooter Dadi' passed away on Friday at the age of 89. Tomar had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 26. She was admitted to a Meerut hospital after she faced difficulty in breathing where she breathed her last.
