For years Kashmir has been the hub for shooting Bollywood films. Be it the lead actors holidaying or singing a duet in the film it had to be shot at the Dal Lake, Shalimar Gardens, Chaar Chinar, Gulmarg or Pahalgam. Times changed when militancy became prominent and the 2000’s saw an influx of politically sensitive films being filmed where Kashmir was a part of the script along with its backdrop.
