  1. First Remuneration

    NTR Jr. debuted as a lead actor in Tollywood with Ninnu Chudalani under V.R. Pratap’s direction. Although the movie faded into history, NTR's performance didn't go unnoticed by the industry & he was cast in better roles after his debut. For his debut performance, he received a sum of Rs. 3.5 lakhs as remuneration, which was his first ever income as an actor. He handed the full amount to his mother Shalini and kept nothing for himself.

  2. His Debut Movie Bungle

    Director Gunasekhar suggested NTR Jr. to Rajamouli for the movie Student No.1, which turned to be a big hit and brought him the required attention in Tollywood. Interestingly, though it was his first movie, his second movie Ninnu Chudalani got released first. Hence, Ninnu Chudalani became his debut movie.

    NTR Jr. shares a strange connection with number 9. Whatever the reason might be, it is true that NTR Jr. loves number 9 and does anything to acquire that number for his vehicles. The actual reason for his love for 9 is because it’s his grandfather Taraka Rama Rao’s favourite number. Interestingly, all the automobiles of NTR have 9999 as their registration number. For example, he bought a swanky car to celebrate the success of Nannaku Prematho, he paid 10.5 lakhs to get his favourite number 9999 at Khairatabad Registration Office.

    He made his first entry into the movie industry when he was 8 years old. He appeared in Brahmarshi Vishwamitra in 1991. Interestingly, the movie was directed by his grandfather, the legendary actor, Sr. NTR. After his performance in the movie, he received another chance to act in the movie Bala Ramayanam in 1996. His performance in the movie as Lord Rama fetched him several awards like Yuvakalavahini Award, Bharathamuni Arts Academy Award, and AP Cinegoer’s Association Award.

    His actual name was TARAK. He got the name as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao while he was acting in the film Brahmarshi Vishwamitra directed by Sr. NTR. As his memory serves, this is the first time NTR Jr. met Rama Rao in his life. Since then, Tarak decided to keep the changed name as he felt he honoured his grandfather by that gesture.

    He donated Rs. 10 Lakhs to Chief Minister relief fund towards the Chennai flood victims. Several times NTR Jr. was seen helping needy people. Once, when one of his employees’ father experienced a medical emergency, NTR Jr. visited them in the hospital and paid 3 lakhs for the medical expenses. In 2009, NTR Jr. donated 20 lakhs to CM’s Relief Fund to take up relief operations for Kurnool flood victims. He has also contributed towards Hudhud Cyclone relief in Vizag.

  12. Only hero to have biggest audio launch ever

    The Audio function of Andhrawala was held at Sr. NTR's hometown Nimmakuru on 5th December 2003. The audio function happened in the presence of 10 lakh fans. When we look back, one can observe that Indian railways ran 10 special trains for the event and also 100’s of RTC and private buses were booked by fans to attend the audio launch. This record has never been broken. Even the biggest heroes aren’t able to break this record, till date. The second biggest audio launch was of Baahubali, but it had only 1/5 of the crowd when compared to Andhrawala.

His movie Baadshah is the first Telugu film released in Japan, which was also nominated for Japan’s Film Festival.
