Heroes are the quintessence of selflessness. They, mostly, fight for others' causes and become the leader of the masses. But, all this hungama only happens on the screen. However, that trend is changing as actors are coming forward to adopt backward villages. Village adoption means that the adopter has to build smart schools, enable access to health care facilities and construct houses to the homeless. Movies such as Swades and Srimanthudu carried this message forward. After, a slow start, adoption rate has relatively increased.
