As with every year, Telugu Cinema in 2018 has seen several actresses making waves as heroines but only a few of them made a substantial impact on the audience. But the increased number of author-backed roles for heroines drastically increased this year (read: 2018) compared to the previous few years.

Take, for example, Raashi Khanna's role as Varsha in Tholi Prema. Her role is given importance similar to that of Varun Tej. Apart from such roles, young actresses like Rashmika Mandanna stole the hearts of the audience with their performances in films like Chalo and Geetha Govindam. All in all, 2018 is a good year for Tollywood actresses when it comes to good roles.
