It's April and Summer is almost here. As we knew that it is a special season for film releases, many interesting movies have already geared up for release starting with Wild Dog today. And we have a special reason to call this month as the month of SS Thaman. It is because 4 films for which he composed musical score are hitting the big screens. While two of his films Yuvaratnaa and Wild Dog are slotted for the 1st and 2nd April release, the other two films - Vakeel Saab and Tuck Jagadish - are scheduled for second and fourth-week release.
This Kannada action drama starring Puneeth Rajkumar and Sayyeshaa Saigal marks the sandalwood comeback of Thaman. His musical score is decent.
Wild Dog is an action thriller based on the true events of the Gokul Chat bomb blast in Hyderabad. The film starring Nagarjuna as lead is a cinematic retelling of the aftermath and how the specially formed team nabbed the terrorists behind this brutal tragedy. Although the film has no songs, the background score is crucial for such a film, and Thaman did a good job.
This comeback film of Power Star Pawan Kalyan is carrying a lot of hype in the film circles, and Thaman has so far not disappointed the fans with his musical score. Be it the thought-provoking Maguva Maguva or the power-packed Satyameva Jayathe or the soothing melody Kanti Papa, his music is impressive. Even the teaser and trailer background score looks promising.
Tuck Jagadish starring Natural Star Nani and Ritu Varma is a wholesome family entertainer with Telugu flavour all over. The first lyrical Inkosari Inkosari is a romantic duet with excellent lyrics, while the second song Kolo Kolanna Kolo gives festival vibes with Armaan Malik's soothing rendition. The third song Neeti Neeti Sukka is a folk melody that elevates Nani's machoism when he fights the goons.
Just like how Thaman made 2020 his year with the chartbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo music album, we wish him a similar success in 2021 as well, as he has many interesting projects lined up in the coming months.
