7 Top South Indian Directors Whom We Wish To See The ‘Khan’s Work With

The ‘Khan’ dominance in Bollywood has been existent since last 25 years. The ‘Khan’ trio which includes Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan has become a huge brand which grows bigger by the day. A Khan movie not just guarantees big moolah for the makers at the box-office but also goes to show their stand and craze among fans across the globe. The massive success of ‘Baahubali 2’ has not only opened a new avenue for south Indian directors but has also given us to believe that its time the Khan’s looked at doing films with some of these successful directors. Though Bollywood has seen the influx of a few south Indian directors over the years like Priyadarshan, T Rama Rao, Bapu and more recently Murugadoss, foraying into Hindi territory but none could make it big. It’s time that the Khan’s look towards south and signup films with some of the top directors. So, who are those top south Indian filmmakers with whom the three Khan’s should do a film?     What more can one say about Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli or simply S.S. Rajamouli who has announced and put Indian cinema on the world map with the humongous success of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’. The Telugu director with 11 films and a cent percent box-office success has arguably become India’s No.1 director who sooner or later should work with any of the ‘Khan’s as he has yet to make his Bollywood debut. Can’t wait to seen any of the ‘Khan’s collaborating with him.

  2. S. Shankar

    S. Shankar needs no introduction when it comes to Tamil cinema. Rated as one of the top filmmaker technicians in Indian cinema, Shankar has got an impeccable track record of making blockbusters from ‘Gentleman’ to ‘I’, his work speaks for him. Though he has already forayed as a director in Bollywood with ‘Nayak’ with Anil Kapoor, a film with any of the Khan’s is bound to strike gold at the box-office. Once he is done with his ‘2.0’ with superstar Rajinikanth, we can expect an announcement soon.

    A. R. Murugadoss is not only considered one of Tamil industry’s top notch current director’s but also India’s. Murugadoss is not new to Bollywood as he has already directed Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajini’, Akshay Kumar in ‘Holiday’ and Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Akira’. He is a big name down south who has given several blockbusters in his 16-year long career. Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan should be looking forward to work with him as their combo could prove lethal at the box-office.

    Now what can be said about Amal Neerad, the hotshot filmmaker who has redefined Malayalam film making. Though Amal started his career as a cinematographer with ‘Black’ in 2004, he turned director with ‘Big B’ starring Mammootty which one of the highest grosser of Malayalam cinema. This was followed by ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’, ‘Anwar’ and ‘Sagat Alias Jacky Reloaded’ with Mohanlal. His command over direction is unparalleled making the best of directors take notice of him. His Bollywood debut with a ‘Khan’ could be something to watch out for as and when it happens.
